[Burkitt lymphoma receptor-1] blr-1 is a chemokine receptor expressed in lymphocytes and identified originally in cells obtained from Burkitt lymphomas Förster et al, 1996). Experiments with Knock-out transgenic mice have shown that blr-1 is involved in the migration of lymphocytes within secondary lymphatic organs. Mature B-cells in mice lacking expression of blr-1 can migrate into secondary lymphatic organs but have lost the ability to emigrate from the T-cell zone. For a related gene see also: blr-2
The receptor is known also as MDR15
