This term has been used in several different ways.

_____________________________________________________________________________

(-1-) B-lymphoblast antigen-1

This antigen is detected by a monoclonal antibody on human and nonhuman primate B-lymphoblastoid cell lines, EBV-activated B-cell blasts, most Burkitt's lymphomas, and Ia(+) B-lymphoblast-like myelomas (Yokochi et al, 1982). Freeman et al (1998) have reported that the BB1 monoclonal antibody recognizes both B7-1 (CD80) and an epitope on the cell surface antigen CD74.

For additional information on CD antigens see also: CD antigens MiniCOPE Dictionary.
