also: CD44s or CD44std. This abbreviation refers to the standard form of the CD antigen CD44, i.e., one that contains no additional alternatively spliced exons. Another designation for this standard form is CD44H. Note that all exons of CD44 found in the standard form of CD44 (CD44H) are also contained in CD44v variant forms.
