[Carcinoembryonic antigen-related cell adhesion molecule 2; CEA-related cell adhesion molecule 2]. The murine CEACAM2 gene shows high similarity with CEACAM1 (CD66a) and has been identified originally as Bgp2 [Biliary glycoprotein 2] (Nédellec P et al, 1994). There is no counterpart in humans.
