gene symbol: drpr. This Drosophila melanogaster gene (CG2086) is the fly homolog of mammalian Jedi. Draper is a Drosophila ortholog of Caenorhabiditis elegans CED1 and mammalian phagocytic receptor MEGF10 and is expressed in two types of phagocytes, namely glial cells and hemocytes / macrophages (Freeman et al, 2003; Doherty et al, 2009).
