FBXO15

(approved gene symbol) [F-Box only protein 15]; abbr. also FBX15. The gene encoding FBXO15 has been identified by Winston et al (1999) who also showed that FBXO15 contains an F-Box in its N-terminal half and is part of a ubiquitin E3 ligase complex.

Tokuzawa et al (2003) have reported that mouse determined that mouse FBXO15 is expressed predominantly in embryonic stem cells and early mouse embryos. Expression is seen in testis and ovary, but not in any other adult mouse tissue examined.
