G4
G4, identified by the monoclonal antibody of the same name is an axon-associated cell adhesion molecule. Antibodies against G4 impair extension of neurites on axons (Chang et al, 1987). This protein is the chicken homolog of NgCAM and 8D9 (Rathjen et al, 1987).
In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD171.
