This term has multiple meanings:
(-1-) Hematopoietic cell phosphatase This protein tyrosine phosphatase, encoded by a gene on human chromosome 12p12-p13, is known also as PTP1C (Shen et al, 1991), SHP [SH2 domain phosphatase] (Matthews et al, 1992). The enzyme has been referred to also as HCPH [hematopoietic cell phosphatase] by Yi et al (1991), who identified HCP together with two other tyrosine protein phosphatases in hematopoietic cells. The structure of the human gene has been reported by Banville et al (1995) who also reported the existence of three different transcripts in a variety of cell lines
