IRAS
[Imidazoline Receptor Antisera-Selected] The cDNA for this protein of 167 kDa protein has been identified by Piletz et al (2000). The cDNA has been identified independently as KIAA0975.
Three different splice variants (IRAS-M, IRAS-S, IRAS-L) have been described by Piletz et al (2003). The protein is expressed widely in many different tissues (Pilatz et al, 1999). Nischarin, which has been implicated in cell migration processes, is the mouse homolog of IRAS.
