Immunophilins

A general term for a family of cytoplasmic proteins with immunoregulatory activities also involved in fundamental cellular processes such as protein folding and protein transport. Some prominent members of immunophilins are binding proteins for the immunosuppressants CsA (Cyclosporin A) and FK506 (see: CsA).
