[K562-derived T-cell inhibitory factor] This biochemically uncharacterized factor of 30-35 kDa (pI = 6.0-6.4) is secreted constitutively into the conditioned medium of the human erythroleukemic cell line K562. It specifically binds to receptors of mononuclear cells and inhibits the growth of T-lymphocytes activated via the CD3 pathway.
