LICR2

[Likely Interleukin or Cytokine Receptor-2] The human LICR2 transmembrane protein (520 amino acids) displays 22 % amino acid identity with the extracellular domain of the IL20 receptor. The gene is expressed constitutively in most tissues and is located on 25 kb from the IL22 receptor gene on chromosome 1 (Dumoutier et al, 2003).

Sequence analysis shows that LICR2 is IL28RA [interleukin-28 receptor-alpha] (which is known also under other names). The ligand for LICR2 is IL28A, IL28B, and IL29
