Lactoferrin

abbr. LF. This factor is called also Lactotransferrin (abbr. LTF) (Montreuil and Mullet, 1960), lactosiderophilin (Montreuil and Mullet, 1960; Montreuil et al, 1960), or ekkrinosiderophilin (Schade, 1967) and has been identified independently as red protein (red milk protein) from bovine milk (Groves, 1960). The protein has been identified independently also as AURA19 [augmented in rheumatoid arthritis 19].
