(-1-) peritoneal cytotoxic factor
A cytotoxic factor released by macrophages into the peritoneal fluid following treatment of tumor-bearing mice with the streptococcal preparation OK-432. The factor is most likely identical with TNF.

(-2-) plasmacytoma cytotoxic factor
This biochemically uncharacterized factor is secreted by P388D1 murine macrophage-like cells. PCF selectively kills certain tumor cell lines, including MOPC-315 plasmacytoma in vitro, by inducing cell death by apoptosis. This is accompanied by an increase of FAS antigen, FAS ligand, and Caspase-3 in PC-treated cells
