Podoplanin

Approved gene symbol: PDPN. This protein (Breiteneder-Geleff et al, 1997) is known also as T1A (Schacht et al, 2003), human T1A2 (Ma et al, 1998), T1-alpha (Dobbs et al, 1988; Rishi et al, 1995), gp36 (Zimmer et al, 1999), gp40 (Zimmer et al, 1995). Sonne et al (2006) have reported the identity of an oncofetal antigen known as M2A antigen (Bailey et al, 1986) or D2-40 antigen (after a monoclonal antibody initially developed against M2A) and gp35 or podoplanin.

Gonzales and Dobbs (1998) have described Podoplanin as RTI40 [rat type I 40 kDa protein], a 40-42 kDa protein expressed specifically in rat ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
