[signaling lymphocyte activation molecule] This is the same as SLAMF1 [signaling lymphocyte activation molecule family member 1].
This protein of 70 kDa has been identified by Cocks et al (1995). It is involved in cell activation of T-cells. SLAM is expressed constitutively on peripheral blood memory T-cells expressing high levels of CD45RO, T-cell clones, immature thymocytes, and a subpopulation of B-cells.
