Saposins
Saposin A (abbr. SAPA), Saposin B (abbr. SAPB) (Mehl and Jatzkewitz, 1964; Isemura et al, 1984), Saposin C (abbr. SAPC) (Ho and O׳Brien, 1971), and Saposin D (abbr. SAPD) are structurally similar glycoproteins of 10-15 kDa derived from the single prosaposin precursor (517 amino acids). The approved gene symbol is PSAP [prosaposin].
