TRIP (469 amino acids) is a component of the apoptosis signaling complexes involving the TNF receptor and CD30 and the adaptor molecule TRAF (Lee et al, 1997). TRIP contains a RING finger motif and an extended coiled-coil domain. The protein is known also as RNF206 [RING finger protein 206].
TRIP mRNA levels are highest in mouse testis, thymus, and spleen and reduced in activated lymphocytes. TRIP associates with the TNFR2 or CD30
