This glycoprotein antigen (approximately 100 kDa) on thymic epithelial cells is recognized by monoclonal antibody J4-81 is a ligand for CD6 (Patel et al, 1995). The ligand is identical with ALCAM, for which the designation in the nomenclature of CD antigens is CD166.
