one of several chemotactic chemokines (CXCL-F1, CXCL-F3, CXCL-F4, CXCL-F5, CXCL-F6) identified originally in Salmo trutta (Brown trout) (Gorgoglione et al, 2016) but present also in Oncorhynchus mykiss (Rainbow trout) or zebrafish and found only in fish. This chemokine belongs to the group of CXC-Chemokines.
CXCL-F2 from large yellow croaker (Larimichthys crocea) is a protein of 95 amino acids.
