DANCE
[developmental arteries and neural crest EGF-like] DANCE (66 kDa) is a secreted protein. The mouse, rat, and human cDNAs have been cloned by Nakamura et al (1999). The protein is identical with Fibulin-5 and has been described also as EVEC.
DANCE contains six copies of a calcium-binding EGF-like repeat, one of which includes an RGD motif. DANCE mRNA is expressed mainly in heart, ovary, and colon in adult human tissues.
