DR6

[death receptor-6] This protein belongs to the TNF receptor superfamily. The new designation is TNFRSF21 [TNF receptor superfamily member 21]. Mouse and human protein sequences show approximately 88 % identity (Pan et al, 1998). In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD358.

DR6 is a type 1 transmembrane receptor, possesses four copies of an extracellular cysteine-rich motif and a cytoplasmic death domain known to signal apoptosis. DR6 is expressed in most human tissues. It interacts with TRADD, which has previously been shown to associate with TNF ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
