Human Exodus has a length of 73 amino acids and belongs to the group of human chemokines (Beta-Chemokines) (Hromas et al, 1997). Exodus, which has approximately 28 % homology with MIP-1-alpha and RANTES, is identical with LARC and MIP-3-alpha. The receptor has been identified as CCR6. Exodus has been renamed Exodus-1 (gene symbol SCYA20) following the isolation of factors that show similarity to Exodus (Exodus-2, Exodus-3). The factor has been renamed CCL20.
