[finnegan] Fgn is a mouse mutation identified after N-ethyl-N-nitrosourea (ENU) chemical mutagenesis (Nolan et al, 2000). These mice are characterized by a hair-loss phenotype. The mutation is fully penetrant and dominantly inherited. Lunny et al (2005) have shown that Fgn is a mutation in the gene encoding Gsdma3 [gasdermin A3].
