[Froese blood group antigens]
abbr. Fr(a). McManus et al (2000) have reported that the Froese blood group antigen is due to a GAG to AAG mutation that causes a Glu480Lys substitution in erythrocyte band 3 protein. See also: blood group antigens.
In the nomenclature of CD antigens the protein has been given the designation CD233.
