IL17A/F

[interleukin-17A/F] This protein has been identified as a heterodimer of IL17A and IL17F, both of which are produced by Th17 cells (Chang and Dong, 2007). The heterodimer, together with homodimeric forms, has been shown to be secreted also into the conditioned medium of murine Th17 cells. In comparison to homodimeric forms of IL17A and IL17F, the heterodimeric IL17A/F is less active in inducing expression of IL6 and KC (CXCL1).
