[IL1 family member 10; Interleukin-1 family member 10] The gene encoding human IL1F10 has been mapped to chromosome 2q13-14.1 (Bensen et al, 2001). The IL1F10 cDNA encodes a protein of 152 amino acids that is a member of the IL1 family of proteins, sharing approximately 40 % amino acid identity with human IL1 receptor antagonist IL1ra and FIL1-delta. IL1F10 mRNA is expressed in heart, placenta, fetal liver, spleen, thymus, and tonsil.
