[Killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptor 2DS3] The cDNA encoding this human NK-cell receptor has been cloned by Dohring et al (1996), who called it NKAT7 [NK-associated transcript-7]. The protein has a very short cytoplasmic tail (39 amino acids) with no ITIM motif, suggesting that this receptor is involved in NK-cell triggering rather than inhibition.
