The mouse monoclonal antibody of this name has been generated by Epstein et al (1984) against histiocyte lymphoma cell line SU-DHL-4 nuclei. It is reactive with B-lymphocytes in B5 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections and shows high specificity for B-cell tumors. LN-2 recognizes a 35 kDa nuclear membrane protein. LN-2 reacts uniquely with the nuclear membrane and cytoplasm of mantle zone and germinal center B-cells and interdigitating histiocytes.
