[Ly2(+), Ly2(-)]
[lymphocyte antigen 2] This murine cell surface antigen was called originally TAP (T-cell activation protein). Another designation is Lyt2. It is the murine homolog of human CD8-alpha. The designation Ly2 has been withdrawn and CD8-alpha is used instead.
The monoclonal antibody OX8 recognizes both human, mouse, and rat CD8-alpha (Thomas and Green, 1983).
