[Pancreatic adenocarcinoma up-regulated factor] This factor, which is overexpressed and secreted into the conditioned medium of pancreatic adenocarcinoma cells, has been identified by Kim et al (2009). PAUF is a protein of 156 amino acids. The gene is localized on the Homo sapiens 16p13.3 chromosomal locus, and its nucleotide sequence matches the Homo sapiens similar to common salivary protein 1 (LOC124220).
