RPAP3

[RNA polymerase II-associated protein 3] The gene encoding this protein has been cloned by Jeronimo et al (2007). RPAP3 is a protein associated with RNA polymerase II. Together with other proteins it is part of a huge multiprotein complex, interacting with various components of the transcription machinery and with proteins able to assemble into molecular chaperone complexes.

Itsuki et al (2008) have reported that RPAP3 interacts with Monad, a protein that potentiates apoptosis. Overexpression of RPAP3 potentiates caspase-3 activation and apoptosis induced by TNF-alpha and cycloheximide, whereas knock-down of RPAP3 reduces cell death by apoptosis, suggesting that RPAP3, together with ... ... ... ... ...
