[small inducible cytokine A9] The gene symbol for MRP-2 (Macrophage inflammatory protein-related protein-2). This factor is known also as CCF18 and MIP-1-gamma. These factors belong to the family of chemotactic cytokines known as Chemokines (subgroup of CC-Chemokines). The approved gene symbol is CCL9. A designation that has been withdrawn is SCYA10.
