[tumor induced suppressor lymphokine] This poorly characterised factor of approximately 350 kDa is produced by rat T-cells in response to the poorly immunogenic syngeneic mammary adenocarcinoma 13762A. TISL strongly inhibits the immune peritoneal exudate cell response to a highly immunogenic clone from the parental tumor (clone 18A) and the concanavalin A-stimulated response of nonimmune spleen cells. The immune spleen cell response to 13762A cells and the response of nonimmume spleen cells to bacterial lipopolysaccharides are unaffected.
