[T-cell-specific protein 30] This gene has been identified as one of several genes showing enhanced expression after induction of cell death by apoptosis in the murine thymoma cell line, WEHI-7TG treated with glucocorticoids. The sequence of the protein (454 amino acids) is identical with PP11 [placental protein 11], identified originally by Bohn and Winckler (1980), a secreted human placental-specific protein of unknown function that is thought to be a serine protease (Grundmann et al, 1990).
