The Drosophila gene arrow (abbr.: Arr; gene also: CG5912) encodes a single-pass transmembrane protein that is necessary for all signaling events involving another protein, a morphogen known as Wingless, which is the fly ortholog of mammalian Wnt-1 (Wehrli et al, 2000).
