17q chemokine family
one of the subgroups of the family of chemotactic proteins known as chemokines (Rollins et al, 1991). This group is known as 17q chemokine family, due to a chemokine gene cluster on human chromosome 17q11-q32 (Naruse et al, 1992). Another designation is CC-Chemokines, defined by the location of the first two cysteine residues in the sequence, which are adjacent to each other.
