Attractin
abbr. ATRN. This glycoprotein of 175 kDa contains a serine protease catalytic domain, four copies of an EGF-like repeat, a CUB domain, a C-type lectin domain, and a domain homologous with the ligand-binding region of the common gamma chain found in the receptors of some cytokines (Duke-Cohan et al, 2000). Tang et al (2000) have shown that the secreted and membrane forms of Attractin result from alternative splicing of the human ATRN gene. The cDNA encoding Attractin has been identified independently as KIAA0548.
