[CC-Chemokine receptor 3] This receptor has been cloned from human eosinophils by Daugherty et al (1996). It binds eotaxin, MCP-3 and RANTES with Kds of 0.1, 2.7 and 3.1 nM, respectively. The receptor also binds MCP-1 with lower affinity, but does not bind MIP-1-alpha or MIP-1-beta. The receptor has been identified independently as CKR3. The new name for this receptor is CCR3. CC-CKR3, cloned by Combadiere et al (1995), binds MIP-1-alpha, MIP-1-beta, and RANTES, but not MCP-3.
