[CD300 molecule-like family member B] In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD300B.
CD300LB is a type 1 integral membrane protein of 201 amino acids that functions as an activating receptor. The cDNA for this protein has been cloned by Martinez-Barriocanal and Sayos (2006). CD300LB is expressed in colon, lung, placenta, bone marrow, and fetal liver. Expression is detected in all human myelomonocytic cell lines tested and is expressed weakly in cell lines derived from NK-cells and B-cells. CD300LB expression is seen exclusively in peripheral blood monocytes. The protein interacts with DAP12 and GRB2
