[CD80(+), CD80(-), CD80(high), CD80(low)]
New designation for the B7 antigen (B7-1, BB1), a ligand of CD28 (therefore the designations: CD28LG1, CD28L, CD28 ligand, CD28 ligand-1) (Engel and Tedder, 1994). The murine counterpart has been called Ly53. A splice variant is known as B7-1a.
Short et al (2006) have reported that all of the members of Adenovirus group B utilize CD80 for infection of cells.
