[Cytochrome C(86-101)] This bioactive fragment of cytochrome C (KKKEERADLIAYLKKA) has been identified by Jones et al (2010) as a cell penetrating peptide that induces tumor cell cell death by apoptosis, thus mimicking the role of Cytochrome C as a key regulator of programmed cell death.
