FGFR1

[FGF receptor type 1, FGF receptor 1]

[fibroblast growth factor receptor-1] FGFR1 is a plasma membrane receptor of 822 amino acids (100-135 kDa glycoprotein from a 90-115 kDa protein core) (Lee et al, 1989; Dionne et al, 1990; Isacchi et al, 1990). The receptor contains a tyrosine kinase domain in its intracellular domain (two kinase domains interrupted by a short kinase insert). This receptor is one of several receptors binding bFGF (Lee et al, 1989) and also aFGF (Ruta et al, 1989; Siffroi-Fernandez et al, 2005; DiGabriele et al, 1998). Binding of ligands in association with heparan sulfate proteoglycans induces receptor dimerization, autophosphorylation ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
