[induced by lymphocyte activation] New designation: CD137. Owing to its homology to other members of the TNF receptor superfamily the designation TNFRSF9 [TNF receptor superfamily member 9] is used also. Human ILA and murine 4-1BB (Ly63 antigen) are considered homologous (59.6 % amino acid identity) (Kwon and Weissman, 1989). The human genes maps to chromosome 1p36.
