MH11
A murine pre-B-cell clone (B220(+), MB-1(+), sIgM(-)) that requires a stromal cell line, ST2, from day 13 fetal liver for its growth (see also: BMC (bone marrow culture), Stromal cell line). The proliferation of MH11 is stimulated by IL7, but IL7 cannot support MH11 growth without ST2 feeder cells. IL7 in combination with SCF (stem cell factor) abolishes the requirement for stromal cells. The growth of MH11 on ST2 is inhibited almost completely by antibodies directed against SCF.
