SCUBE2

[Signal peptide-CUB-EGF-like domain containing protein 2] SCUBE2, referred to also as (CEGP1 [CUB and EGF-like domain-containing protein 1] CEGB1, or CEGF1, is expressed in endothelial cells from various highly vascularized tissues (Yang et al, 2002) and other cell types such as fibroblasts and renal mesangial cells. The protein can form a heteromeric complex with SCUBE1.

Grimmond et al (2001) have reported that SCUBE2 gene expression is restricted to the embryonic neuroectoderm but is detectable also in adult heart, lung and testis.
