Reutner K et al (2012), who have cloned the cDNA, have reported that SWC2 is expressed by mature T-cells in thymus and peripheral T-cells with a naive phenotype, as well as NK-cells, whereas B-cell do not express SWC2. A plate-bound monoclonal antibody against SWC2 (Ab b30c7) shows a costimulatory capacity on CD3 activated T-cells for proliferation, IFN-gamma and TNF-alpha production.
