TIARP

[TNF-induced adipose-related protein] TIARP has been identified by virtue of its dramatically increased expression by adipocytes in response to TNF-alpha. The protein is known also as TNFAIP9 [tumor necrosis factor-alpha-induced protein 9; TNF-alpha-induced protein 9] and STEAP4 [Six-transmembrane epithelial antigen of prostate 4; STEAP family member 4]. TIARP has been identified independently as a protein involved in prostate cancer cell biology (see: STAMP2). In databanks the protein is known also as Dudulin-4.
