p28/CLF

this heterodimeric protein has been described by Crabé S et al (2009). It is composed of IL27p28, the p28 subunit of IL27 (a subunit also referred to as IL30), and CLF-1 [Cytokine-like factor-1]. p28/CLF is produced by dendritic cells and is biologically active on human NK-cells, increasing IFN-gamma production and activation marker expression induced by IL12 and IL2.

Experiments with BaF3 transfectants indicate that p28/CLF activates cells expressing IL6 receptor-alpha in addition to the IL27 receptor subunits. When tested on CD4(+) and ... ... ... ...
