[tax-transcriptionally activated glycoprotein 1] This glycoprotein of 34 kDa is expressed in cells infected with human T-cell leukemia virus type I (HTLV-I) (Miura et al, 1991). See: gp34. The protein is being referred to also as CD134L (CD134 ligand).

Owing to its homology to other members of the TNF receptor superfamily the receptor is being referred to also as TNFSF4 [TNF ligand superfamily member 4].

In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD252.
